Willie Watson: I Was Really Feeling The Pressure (Interview)

Willie WatsonWillie Watson was a founding member of the Old Crow Medicine Show, one of the leading Americana bands of the past decade or so. But Willie up and left the group in 2011 and has since released his first solo album, Folk Singer Vol 1, a collection of newly-recorded traditional folk songs. Watson will be performing at Auckland’s Tuning Fork on Thursday, July 7th along with Nashville-based Josh Hedley. The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Willie Watson recently to talk about his upcoming show and discovered that going solo hasn’t been all that easy for Mr Watson. Continue reading

Willie Watson & Josh Hedley Coming To Tuning Fork

Watson & HedleyNew York born Willie Watson, co-founder of one of the most respected bands in modern Americana, Old Crow Medicine Show will co-headline one New Zealand show with Joshua Hedley, one of Nashville’s emerging stars, at The Great South Pacific Tuning Fork, Auckland on Thursday 7 July. Tickets for this show will go on sale 9am, Tuesday 19 April with a Southern Fork and MyTicketmaster presale from 9am, 15 April.
